Tattoo Good Idea/Bad Idea?

I've always wanted a sexy tattoo on the small of my back but my fear of needles always causes me to chicken out.

Anyone got some funny stories about tattoos?

I love art, but not into personal body mutilation. I do however want a small inconspicuous tattoo somewhere, it would have to be a Dragonfly.
